Californiacation

So, I wish I had time and energy to write a long entrance but I only have time for a "short" update. So I went to LA with David and Martin and we did all the things a good tourist should do. We went to Santa Monica, Venice Beach, Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Blvd and Universal Studios. Saw the sign and took some pictures of the stars in the road. There was some more shopping (always too much shopping) and some deep fried dill pickles at Hooters. The pickles were surprisingly good. We also spent some time with my LA-friend Patrick that I met I PG. After a few days in the city were everyone is an aspiring actor Martin went to Hawaii and me and David went on a bus to Las Vegas.
In Las Vegas we happend to be staying at the coolest hostel ever, Tods Motor Motel. Its hard to explain why it was so cool, but it was really cool. In Las Vegas we were lucky (as you should be in Vegas) and we spent one night at the VIP balcony drinking champagne at some cool nightclub 64 stories high. I also went down the Strip in a limo, an old dream of mine. I played at all the major casinos in Vegas and I stayed up til 6am. I have to admit tho, that there were some let downs. Vegas does sleep! At 3am the city was not all that exciting. I saw an Elvis impersonater, cheked out the little white chapel and I visited the old Strip. Four days in Vegas was enough and after that it was almost boring.
After Vegas we flew to San Francisco to get in a car with the craziest driver ever that took us to our hostel, after almost killing us like five times. The hostel then turned out to be abloslutely gross, filthy beyond belief. So we ended up checking in to this really nice hotel just up the street. It broke my budget pretty good, but it was real nice. In San Francisco we once again did the typical tourist things. Saw Alcatraz, Lombard Street, rode a cable car and took a bunch of pictures of the Golden Gate bridge. We saw a lot of porn stores and theatres and we visited the gay district which was very interesting.
After San Francisco I was broke, but mostly because of practical reasons me and David spent the night at the airport. I then flew to Vancouver were Victoria picked me up (with her adorable babybrother Vernon) and took me to Victoria (a city on vancouver Island). David flew back to Sweden, which brought my homesickness back on. Right now I am spending time with Victoria and her family here. Yesterday I went Ballroom dancing with Victorias brother Gerald! I was baaad... And today I am going rockclimbing!
